In the News…

Alaska Senator Dan Sullivan, together with Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island, forged a bipartisan partnership that has led to the unanimous passing of two measures in Congress to clean up plastics in the ocean.

The work isn’t complete, Senator Sullivan said in a joint interview. The two senators are already working on the Save Our Seas Act’s third iteration.

The Congressional Research Service calls the second Save Our Seas package, which President Trump just signed into law in December, the most comprehensive ocean clean-up bill that Congress has ever passed, Sullivan said.
